Layken Tola Boyd LINDEN TX An angel opened the book of life and wrote down my babys birth, then whispered as she closed the book, Too beautiful for earth. Layken Tola Boyd departed this life on Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Texarkana, Texas. She is survived by her parents, Cody Boyd and Tonya Price of Linden; one brother, Douglass Boyd of Gulf Shores, Alabama; maternal grandparents, Jimmie and Terri Price of Linden; paternal grandparents, Victor and Alean Boyd of Avinger; maternal great-grandparents, Patsy Price of Linden and Van and Nancy Templeton of Avinger; paternal great-grandparents, Gordon and Nancy Boyd of Avinger and Ruth Vaughan of Linden. Layken is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many other loved ones. Layken is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, Rudolph Price. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 2:00pm at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Starkey Gunn officiating. Interment will follow in Pruitt Lake Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pruitt Lake Cemetery Fund, 733 CR 1562, Avinger, TX 75630, or to the March of Dimes.
