Services for L.C. Jones, 80, of Daingerfield, will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the Church on the Rock, in Daingerfield with Randy Seybert officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Ore City. Mr. Jones was born June 30, 1933 in Cass County and passed away January 10, 2014 in Longview. He was a fabricator in the precision sheet metal industry and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and an infant sister. He is survived by the mother of his children, Vera Jones of Daingerfield; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Deborah Jones of Washington, Pennsylvania and Calvin and Tammy Jones of Ore City, 1 daughter; Vicki Jones of Daingerfield, 3 sisters; Earnestine Schmidt of Phoenix, Arizona, Joyce Smith of Jenkins and Linda Bingham of Diana, Texas, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

great co-workerIt was a privilege to have known and worked with L.C. at Lone Star Steel. His warm, outgoing personality made it a better workplace. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.
My prayers are with the family. Mr. Jones was a joy to have in our rehab facility.
