LC Washington James, 61, of Douglassville, Texas passed away February 13, 2021. Mr. James was born April 9, 1959 in Douglassville, Texas to Alfred Earl James, Sr. and Doris Faye Washington.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn James; mother and step-father, Nolan and Doris Washington Evans; father and step-mother, Alfred Earl James, Sr. and Bernice James, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Elnora Bell.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughter, LaBrishia Bell, Tiffany Bell and Dennis Allen; grandchildren, LaBrodrick Bell, Javonte Bell, Infinity Cobbins, Anastasia Bell, Tristin Owens, Xavia Owens, Raequesha Allen; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Bell, Ja'Niyah Bell; brothers, Joseph R. James, Brenton Burns, Sr., Alfred Earl James, Jr.; sisters, Jill Saint James, LaCarsha Jenea Burns, LaGretta Burns, Dr. Alisa Simpson and husband, Pastor Kelvin Simpson and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Panhandle Cemetery with Rev. Johnny B. Washington officiating and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
Mr. James will lie-in-state from 12:00 until 5:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. With the wake being from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m.
The family has requested that anyone who will be attending the visitation and service to please wear mask.
