Funeral services for Mr. Leroy Stevens, age 82, of Diana, Texas, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Ore City Church of Christ.Β  Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Mr. Stevens will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.

In loving memory of a husband of 58 years, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather: Leroy Stevens was born to the late Wiley Stevens Jr and Ila Jefferson Stevens on February 1, 1943 in Marion County, Texas. At an early age, he was a member of Murray League Baptist Church in Ore City, Texas. He accepted Christ at Pops Landing Road Church of Christ. He attended both Macedonia and Central High Schools in Jefferson, Texas. On November 14, 1966 he marred his soulmate, Nancy Black Stevens. They were blissfully married and to this union four children were born. He was a dedicated husband and father. It brought him great joy to spend quality time creating cherished memories with his grandchildren/great grandchildren . He worked 20+ years at T&N Lone Star Steel and later worked 20 years with General Aluminum as a Trucker, from which he retired. Those who preceded him in death are his parents, Wiley Jr and Ila Stevens, one daughter, Karen Denise Stevens; three sisters, Clemmie Lee Stevens, Emma Lee Washington, and Azzie Lee Washington Black; three brothers, Carey Mathis, Robert T. Stevens, and Wiley Stevens III. Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Black Stevens; two sons, Verlon R. Stevens (Anissa) of Houston, Tx and Landrian T. Stevens (Ronda) of Diana, Texas; one daughter, Kimitaka D. Stevens of Diana, Texas; three grandchildren, Kimetris D. Stevens of Longview, Texas, LaDarrian T. Stevens (Marisela), and Dadrian T. Stevens (Alejandra) both of Mt Pleasant, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Azel Gonzales, Alexandrine T. Stevens, and Georgiana A. Stevens; one sister, Valerie Perkins (Charles) of Marshall, Texas; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
