     Lillian Ruth Cox Surratt, 91, of Linden passed away June 14, 2017.  Ms. Surratt was born April 5, 1926 in Douglassville, Texas to William Hardy Cox and Goldie Ruth Wilson Cox.  Lillian worked at the Linden Municipal Hospital for 28 years as a dietician.

     She is survived by one sister, Mary Frances Washington of Harker Heights, TX.; two daughters, Cheryl Hendricks and husband Dale of Linden, TX., Peggy Self and husband David of Cabot, AR.; one son,   Steve Surratt and wife Carrie of Cleburne, TX; one daughter-in-law, Patsy Surratt of Linden, TX.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

     She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband W.B. Surratt; one son, Ronnie Surratt; one granddaughter, Regina Linam; two sisters, Alice Waters, Jeanette Lewis; one brother, Lloyd Cox and two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Hayden Givens.

     Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Center Grove Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral home in Linden.

     There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday  evening at the funeral home.

     In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Center Grove Cemetery or the Center Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
