Monday, February 1, 2016, Lillie Mae Smith completed her 82nd year journey on this earth. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, aunt, and sisters Juanita Tabb and Ada Mae Graham.

Mrs. Smith was born March 9, 1933 in Mims, Tx to the parentage of Cassine and West Graham. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at the Warlock United Methodist Church.

On December 27, 1951, she married Nathaniel Smith, they were married for 64 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Nathaniel Smith; four children, Troy L. Smith of Houston, Anita Gilmore (Gerald) of Mesquite, Carl L. Smith of Avinger, and James E. Smith of Avinger; five sisters, Germadene, Mattie, Barbara Ann, Debra and Pat; two brothers, Robert (TC) and Rayfield; eight grandchildren, Troy L. Smith Jr. (Adana), Debra A. Lafayette (Terry), Naishunn Neal, Sheneka Denmark (Andray), Dameion Jarrett, Michael Knox, and Christopher Neal; ten great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, and a host of other special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services for Lillie Mae Smith,82 of Avinger, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Jefferson Middle School in Jefferson, TX. Burial will follow at the Pyland Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Smith will lie in state from 10 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
