Linda Verl Brown, 68, of Avinger, Texas passed away October 28, 2020.  Ms. Brown was born July 27, 1952 in Austell, GA to Wilton Verl Woods and Imojean Moody Woods. 

She is survived by her three daughters, Polly Samples of Avinger, TX, Pattie Shellman of Avinger, TX, Phonda Meador and husband Brian of Avery, TX; one sister, Sundra Blanchard and husband Essay of Lithia Springs, GA; grandchildren, Billy Shellman and Nikki Campbell of Jefferson, TX, Jessica Johns and husband Jason of Avinger, TX, Rebecca Westmoreland and husband Justin of Hughes Springs, TX, Todd Samples of Avinger, TX, Briar Meador of Avery, TX; great-grandchildren, Delilah Johns, Jaylen and Corey Johns, Ira Johns, and Timber and Stetson Westmoreland.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband John H. Brown; her parents; one brother, Buddy Woods and one sister, Peggy Smith.

Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2020 at Pruitts Lake Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Ervin Gould officiating.  Burial to follow in the Old Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. If you would like to attend the service, but are not able due to Covid concerns, the service will be available on Reeder-Davis facebook page or you can listen on FM 88.1 from the church parking lot.

There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.

    I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you. I still remember your mom and her love of cats!!! I also remember us riding together for band in the mornings. She could make some mean desserts also. I hope all the wonderful memories you have of your mom help you thru this time.
