Lizzie P. Swaim, 72, of Hughes Springs, was born October 22, 1946 and passed away August 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Halbert Jack and Lola Mae Shaddix; siblings, Ruby Sloan and James Cotton Shaddix.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Swaim; children, Kim Sweeten, Christie Byrd and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Shane Taylor, Kristian Taylor, and Hailey Byrd; sister, Charlotte Dodson; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Family will have private services at a later date.

  9. My dear sister. I don't know how I am going to handle the holidays without seeing you sitting in a chair at the table making your jokes. And who is gonna make your Baskin Robbins dessert ? But I know that you have been sick for a while now, and you told me a while ago that you were ready to go see Mama and Daddy. I know that you were tired. So now I know that you are sitting at the feet of our dear Jesus and pain free. All I can say is please save a place for me and I love you and will miss you dearly. Now rest.
