Funeral services for Mrs. Lola Mae Hayes will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, may 12, 2012 at the Daingerfield High School Auditorium. Burial will follow at Rivers Cemetery. Mrs. Hayes will lie in state all day Friday, May 11, 2012 at the funeral home. Mrs. Lola Mae Hayes was born in Daingerfied Texas on the seventeenth day of April, 1939 to the late Elder Charlie Lee and District Missionary Vanilla Lee who preceded her in death. Mrs. Hayes passed away on the third day of May, 2012. She attended J.J. Rhoades High in Daingerfield Tx. She was a faithful member of the Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. She was reborn in the Lord in March 1978under the leadership of the late Supt. L.C. Castleberry who appointed her a Sunshine Band President in 1981-1982. There was a song called Its In The House that was written by OLanda Draper. Lola Mae Hayes got the song and changed the song to fit her own style. She sang that song for over 10 years, and everywhere she went that song was requested for her to sing. She sang Its in the House all across the Northeast Texas area. On April 3 rd 1970 she married the love of her life, Mr. Samuel Lloyd Hayes. She was employed at the Hill House Caf for many years, and later worked for the Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD for many years and retired in 2011. Lola Mae Hayes was preceded In death by 3 sisters Sutta Gal Lee, Winnie Jewel Lee, and Erma Faye Buford. 3 brothers Charles Lee, Calvin Lee, and Big Brother Lee. 1 sister in law Vera Lee. 2 brother in laws Willie Buford and George Gotcher. She was also preceded in death by 1 special son Russell Evans. 2 sister in laws lucy Faye MCcoy and Ellen White She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories her loving husband Samuel Lloyd Hayes. 8 daughters: Patsy Rodgers, Beverly Sadberry (James), Susie Lee, Audrey Johnson (Charles), Marilyn Allen (Shelby), Jarwanda Hayes (Eric), and Linda Ruben all of Daingerfield; and Stephanie Derrick (David) of Cookville. 3 special daughters: Brenda Denmark, Lashawnda Banks, and Sister Lena Davis (Supt. Robert). 9 sons: Robert Evans (Alice), Benny Lee (Debra), Calvin Lee, Ardie Hayes, Samuel Hayes Jr, Reco Hayes (Erica), and Marlon Hayes (Skye) all of Daingerfield. Victor Evans (Hazel and Ricardo Hayes (Shenita) of Dallas. 1 son that she help raise Jerome Lee (Carmen). 3 special sons: George Sanders (Nissi), Norman Washington of Greenville Texas, and Tommy Reynolds of Texarkana. 6 sisters: Dorothy Lee, Ada Gotcher, Marilyn Frazier (Clarence), Charlie Mae Younger (Trent), Gwendolyn Frederick (Marques), and Paula Lee. 4 brothers: L.W. Lee (Trisha), Bob Lee (Doris), Kenneth Lee, and Terry Lee (Janice). 1 aunt Orvella Garret. 3 sister in laws: Mary Mason (James), Betty Gholston, and Merle Jones (L.J.). 2 brother in laws: Charles Hayes and Joe L Hayes (Gladys). 63 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. Her best friend for many many many years Darlene Robinson. 2 special friends District Missionary Minnie Powell and First Lady Nell Tudman, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
