Louis Wayne Williams, 75, of Jefferson, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, in Linden, Texas. He was born August 15, 1950, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Louis Etheridge Williams and Freda J. Wilkerson.
At the age of 19, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served proudly and honorably for a three-year term. During this time, he met and married Deborah Lou Kinser on February 26, 1971.
Louis Wayne was known for being a great brother, protector, and lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ in McKinney, Texas. Recently, he rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized.
He spent the greater part of his life working as a forklift operator for Kone in McKinney, Texas, where he retired after 20 years of service. He and Deborah retired to Jefferson, Texas, where they enjoyed country life, trips to the lake, and motorcycle rides.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Etheridge and Freda J. Williams.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Deborah Williams of Jefferson, Texas; son, Louis Wayne Williams, Jr. of Ennis, Texas; daughter, Theresa Rene and husband Mark W. Arnold of Bells, Texas; and son, Jeremy Don Williams and partner Crystal McGinn of Jefferson, Texas.
He is also survived by four grandchildren: Anthony Ray and wife Amanda Williams of Chapmansboro, Tennessee; James Taylor and wife Kaylea Boydstun of Sherman, Texas; Jacob and wife Maggie Williams of Princeton, Texas; and Justin and wife Vicky Williams of Princeton, Texas.
He is further survived by nine great-grandchildren: Allie and Harley Williams of McKinney, Texas; Tucker Williams of Chapmansboro, Tennessee; Parker, Gentry, Jensen, and Charlie Boydstun of Sherman, Texas; and Ren and Quin Williams of Princeton, Texas.
He is also survived by his brother, Larry Williams of Princeton, Texas; sisters, Sharon Gilbert of Princeton, Texas; Deborah Lephakis of Princeton, Texas; Susan and husband Rick Buff of McKinney, Texas; Deanna and husband Billy Nutt of Princeton, Texas; and Darla and husband Larry Fish of Sachse, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
There will be no service at this time; however, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
