Lynette Surratt Sharp, 71, of Linden passed away, Friday, January 30, 2015. Ms. Sharp was born March 18, 1943 in Linden, Tx to Lone Neuman Surratt and Juanita Ruth Wilson. Lynette was a member of Grace and Truth Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Jimmy Watson of Linden; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Gwen Sharp of Jefferson; four grandchildren, Brandon Watson (Whitney), Lisa Watson, Jerrod Sharp (Kristeen), Kendall Sharp and five great-grandchildren, Caleb, Allie, Cannon, Jayden and Jace. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Sharp; two brothers; one sister and one great-grandchild, Cason Watson. Services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Bear Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, February 2, 2015 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Bear Creek Cemetery Fund, 3187 CR 1626, Avinger, Tx 75630.

I am sorry for the loss of Mrs. Sharp, however, Jesus said Happy are those who mourn, since they will be comforted (Matthew 5:4). We also keep going forward with a firm hope because 1 Corinthians 15:26 informs that soon The last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.
