Services for Ms. Mae Johnson, 71, of Daingerfield, Texas will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Whitmore Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

There will be a time of visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Saturday evening at the funeral home.

Mae Ozie Johnson was born on December 29, 1948 in Morris County, to the late Leo and Lela Johnson.

Mae Ozie confessed Christ at an early age. She united with Wallick Chapel Christian Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the usher board. She remained a faithful member until her health began to fail.

Mae Ozie was a fun-loving, spirited person from her childhood, days at J. J. Rhoades High School, until her death. She brought life to any occasion and would often seek to bring a smile or brighten a day.

She is proceeded in death by her parents; brothers, L. J. (Leo, Jr.) and S. L. (Samuel Lee); sisters, Arnetta Davis, Mae Ella Connally, and Wilma Evans.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving son Greg Johnson (Crata) of Gilmer, TX, grandchildren, Jordan Johnson of Gilmer, TX, Cory Jordan of Dallas, TX, and Kiara Finch (Patrick) of White Oak, TX; siblings, Marie Higgins of Daingerfield, TX, Bonnie White (James) of Fort Worth, TX, Eddie Johnson (Debra) of Daingerfield, TX, and Curtis Wayne Johnson (Kathy) of Cason, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
