Margaret Pippin

December 19, 1934 ~ September 10, 2022
Margaret Pippin was born on December 19, 1934, in Monroe Wisconsin. She entered the arms and presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 10, 2022. Margaret was the 3rd daughter born to her parents, Louis and Clara Stucki. Louis and Clara came as immigrants to America in 1924 and 1926. They met in the United States and were married in Monroe, Wisconsin in 1930. Her dad was a cheese maker in Wisconsin. Margaret was very proud of her heritage.
Margaret trusted the Lord in her teen years as her personal Savior. Her faith was very important to her. She is a member of First Baptist Church, Hughes Springs, Texas, but because of health problems has not been able to attend these last few years. Reading her bible daily and praying was something she enjoyed and cherished. She was our prayer warrior. She was faithful for many years to Sunday School and worship and her children attended with her. Her children didn’t have a choice on Sunday mornings. We knew what we were doing and where we were going and it didn’t matter if you happened to stay up late on Saturday and didn’t get much sleep. We went anyway and never asked her “are we going to church today”, because we already knew the answer.
Margaret attended college at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville, and received her teaching certificate. Her first job was in a one room school house where she taught grades 1-8. The next year she and her sister, Louise traveled from Wisconsin to California in search of teaching jobs. While in California, Margaret met and married Wiley Pippin in 1960. The couple came to Texas to begin their life together in 1961 which lasted almost 60 years until the death of Wiley in 2018. They were blessed with 4 children.
After coming to Texas, Margaret attended East Texas Baptist College in Marshall, Texas, and received a Bachelors of Science Degree to become certified to teach in Texas. She taught 2nd grade for 25 years in the Hughes Springs Independent School District. She retired in 1993 after 30 years of teaching. She was an English Teacher for many years and did not mind correcting us when our grammar was not correct.
Margaret is survived by daughters, DeAnna Putman (Mike), Debra Russell (Randy). Her sons, Daniel Pippin, David Pippin (Leslie). Grandchildren: Amy Blackwell (Justin), Erin Finn (Brian), John Russell (Katy). Megan Koonce (John). Carter Pippin, Caleb Pippin, Reese Pippin. Halie Lewis (Kyre), and Grace Pippin. Great Grandchildren, Jack Blackwell, Allison Blackwell, Kaelynn Russell, and Neal Russell. Sister, Louise Stucki, and Brother, Fritz Stucki (Charlotte)of Wyoming, Michigan. Brother-in-law, Jack Ferrell of Middleton, Wisconsin. Also, many, many nieces and nephews.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Wiley Pippin. Her sister and brother-in-law, Doris Aguirre and Phillip Aguirre, sister Ruth Ferrell, Niece, Christy Aguirre and great nephew Victor Barajas.
Margaret enjoyed traveling, decorating for various holidays. She always looked forward to getting together with her children and grandchildren, even when it was not a holiday. Since her family lived in Michigan and Wisconsin, she was excited to travel to see them once a year in the summer.
Our family was blessed with wonderful ladies over the last several years, who helped us take care of our mom. They all loved Margaret as their own family and she loved them. Margaret was spoiled by her children, but especially by her “ladies”. Our family is forever grateful to Mindy, Paulette, Brooklyn, Melissa, Ashley, April, and Karen for their dedicated service.
Special thanks to Heritage Hospice for their guidance and support in the last days. We know the Lord sent all of these special angels to comfort mom in the last days of her life.
“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Proverbs 31:28

2nd Grade wouldn't be the same without Mrs. Pippin & of course Mrs. King next door.
My sympathies to all the family. These goodbyes are the hardest.
I got to know Mrs Margaret while she faithfully attended our WMU meetings. She was faithful in praying for missionaries; a sweet gentle soul. ??
