Marion Luther Funzy Jones, 96, of Linden, passed away, Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Mr. Jones was born September 17, 1918, in New Colony to Nat Jones and Sallie Martin Jones. Marion served his country proudly in the United States Army Air Corps; was a 32nd degree Mason; deacon at the First Baptist Church in Linden; worked at Lanier Chevrolet for 33 years as a bookkeeper and was a former Boy Scout Leader where he was awarded the Silver Beaver Award. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Terri Jones of Kaufman, TX.; one daughter and son-in-law, Andra and William Penny of Denton, TX.; six grandchildren, Paden, Parker, Austin, Kellan, Jordan, McCrae and one great-grandson, Emerson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Jones; his parents; brother and sister. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Linden with Bro. Jackie Stanfield officiating. Burial to follow in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. There will be a time of visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to The First Baptist Church of Linden Building Fund, 105 N. Church St., Linden, Tx 75563 or Texas Panhandle Honor Flight, P.O. Box 3218, Amarillo, Tx 79116.
