Funeral services for Mr. Mark Alan Carr, 63, of Lone Star, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  There will be a time of visitation with family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2025, at the funeral home.

Mark Alan Carr passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 26, 2025. He was born on October 1, 1961, in Orange, Texas, to James Carr and Shirley Jacobs Carr.

Mark had a love for the simple joys in life.   He found peace in fishing, singing, and playing his guitar. These pastimes that brought him comfort and happiness. Above all, he treasured his family and took great pride in watching his grandchildren grow. Mark was a Baptist by faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Carr; brothers, James Earl Carr, Royce Carr, and Ricky Carr; and sister, Gail Sharbine.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Jeannie Carr; his mother, Shirley Carr; his children, David Carr and wife Jennifer, Kelli Wallace and husband Dwayne, Kerri Parker and husband Michael Jr.; his brother, Cecil Gordon; sister, Becky Wilson; and his beloved grandchildren, David Carr Jr., Morgan Carr, Isaiah Parker, Jaelyn Wallace, Chelsey Carr, Kaelyn Wallace, Braylon Parker, Eli Parker, Bryson Parker, K.D. Wallace, and Levi Parker. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
