Mother Martha Ann Jones was born June 20, 1944 to the late Louella Jones-Reeves (Shebe) and the late S.J. Jones of Daingerfield. Her mother later married the late L.S. Reeves who partly raised her.

Mother Martha Jones matriculated through the J.J. Rhoads High School in Daingerfield, and graduated with the Class of 1963. She attended Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, TX for a year. Martha moved to Dallas and worked at Texas Instruments but came home every weekend to take care of her family. After over 13 years she moved back to Daingerfield and worked at Day & Zimmerman in Texarkana, Lone Star Steel, Thiokol in Karnack and the Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD for 15 years until her retirement. She was a hard working woman. On June 10, 1980 Martha married Mr. Arthur Pokey Jones . As a couple they loved to cook and opened their own home to many friends and relatives.

Mother Martha Jones grew up in Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. She served in every aspect of the church ministries from Sunshine Band, Purity Class, Sunday School, YPWW, Bible Band, YWCC & CWC, Choir, and she graduated to the Mothers Board. She was reborn into the Army of the Lord at the Faith Temple Church under the leadership of Superintendent Love Charles Castleberry in the year 1980 and water baptized in 1984. She has been a faithful member and continued to be faithful through the leadership of Superintendent Alfred C. Key, Sr. and, now, Pastor Alfred C. Guestbook

  1. To the Jones family , we sent our sincere condolences and prayers. Love always, Edward and Maurine Hall of Los Angeles, California.

  2. My sympathy to Mrs. Joness family and friends: Ecclesiastes 3:12 tells us that it is good to rejoice and to do good during ones life; so as you celebrate her life, please remember that; also that Our Heavenly Father authorized Jesus Christ to tell us that many now dead will live again (John 5:21, John 11:24-25). May you have the peace of The Comforter (1 Corinthians 1:3) to carry you through your grief
