  1. I met Martin at a bar in Guntersville, Alabama. At the time we both had long hair. We discovered we were both from Texas and military. Became friends and hung out together through the years. Experience many ups and downs. A lot of downs. Wasnt necessarily a good place to live for fun and entertainment. He was called Hippie by many people. Mainly friends. He was in Alabama taking care of his mother and raising his beautiful daughter Jennifer Reagan. Not an easy thing. Even for a marine. He was at my home in Horton, Alabama when he got the news that his mother passed away. He had a friends helping on occasion. We were Lutherans by religion but but hadn't attended the church in Albertville, Alabama that much. Hippie decided to move and ended up at Lone Star, Texas with Jennifer. I missed them as other people did in Alabama. I subsequently moved back to Dallas Texas. I didnt see Hippie again but heard him on the phone. I was told of his untimely death and was very saddened that I hadn't seen him back in Texas. He will always be remembered as a good friend. Semper Fi.
