Graveside services for Marvin Morgan, 82 of Hughes Springs ,will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday December 1, 2015 at Hughes Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Morgan was born July 10, 1933 in Cass County, to James Edgar and Viva Oritta Roberson- Morgan and passed away November 28, 2015. He was the founder of many area businesses, including: Wildflower Restaurant, Trico Lumber, Morgan Plumbing and KZ Convenience Stores. In later years, Mr. Morgan owned and operated a trucking company. He was a very generous man and contributed greatly to the Hughes Springs, Linden and surrounding areas. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Frances Berry; and brother, Kenneth Morgan. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Billie Jean Morgan; son, Clint Morgan and wife Tammie; daughters, Marvilyn Green and husband Ronnie, Sherry Bojarski and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Jim, Gwen, Daniel, Douglass, Chase, and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Payden, Colby, Alex, Emilie, Bella, Evin, Carter, Hayden, Chloe, and Ryliegh; brother, Wayne Morgan; sister, Mae Don Dudley; numerous nieces and nephews.

  1. I am so sorry to hear this. He was a wonderful man and I know he will be missed. Prayers going up for comfort during this time. Hugs for Mrs. Morgan. She is a dear lady also to me.

  2. I was so sad to hear of Mr. Morgans passing. He was a good man, he & his family took such good care of my Aunt Mamie in her later years, always making sure she was ok & didnt need anything. This meant so much to our family & its something well never forget.Im praying for his immediate & extended family members & am thinking of them all.

  3. Mr. Marvin was one of the greatest men I have had the pleasure to know.. He and Billie were excellent bosses and I loved both of them like my own parents.. My best memory of him was at the Wildflower Restaurant on Friday nights cooking catfish.. He would bring the fish to the buffet and would yell" hot fish coming through". I miss those days with Mr. Marvin. He was an awesome man and prayers are going out to all of his family.. He will be missed very much.. I love you Mr. Marvin and RIP…Kathy Russell
