Mary Frances Watson

Mary Frances Preston Watson, 82, passed away on April 10, 2014 at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT. She was born on May 10, 1931 in Welch, TX to Jean Linn & King Coleman Preston. Mary has lived in Welch, TX; Waskom, TX; Avinger, TX; and most recently in Garland, UT. She married George Wesley Watson in June of 1952 and together they had 3 children: Norman, Larry and Carolyn. She was a member of the Bear River Valley Baptist Church in Tremonton, UT and Waskom United Methodist Church in Waskom, TX. Mary is survived by her children: Norman (Laura) Watson, Garland, UT; Larry Watson, Linden, TX; Carolyn (Bob) Yazdani, Houston, TX. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, her 2 brothers: Donald Preston (Sylvia) of Wolfforth,TX; and Weldon Preston (Pat) also of Wolfforth,TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Wesley Watson; and a brother, Kenneth Preston. Services for Mary will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bear Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. In lieu of flowers it was Marys request that donations be made to either the Bear River Valley Baptist Church in Tremonton, UT or the Waskom United Methodist Church in Waskom, TX.
