Melba Jean Hodge, 87, of Linden, Texas passed away September 19, 2021. Mrs. Hodge was born July 18, 1934 in Hurst, Texas to Isaac Newton Watson and Alice Manning Watson.
She is survived by one grandson, William Hoff (Misty); two great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Jealyn Hoff, and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bobby Hodge; her parents, Isaac and Alice Watson; daughter, Rebecca Hoff; son, Robert Hodge; one sister and three brothers.
Services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 26, 2021 at PineCrest Baptist Church with Bro. Bryan Baggett officiating. Burial to follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.

Aunt Melba was such a wonderfully sweet and caring person. She was a fierce champion of uncle Bobby and loved him dearly. Surviving both children and her husband has to require such strength. When I think of her sweet face she’s always smiling and not a hair out of place. She deserved much more than she ever received. Now you can Rest In Peace
