Mildred McMichael, 93, of Linden, passed away Monday May 26, 2014, in a Texarkana hospital. She was born on March 2, 1921 in Carthage, Texas to Jack Soape and Rosa Baugh. Mrs. McMichael was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Diane Anderson of Linden, TX.; two sons, Charles McMichael (Pam) of Linden, TX,. Kevin McMichael (Tracy) of Artesia, NM; eight grandchildren, Cindy Morrow, Eddie Anderson, Kara Combs, Carl Anderson, Stacey Aldridge, Cody McMichael, Layla Belekis and Eric McMichael; nine great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and a special friend Sheila Morrow. She is preceded in death by her husband Lester L. McMichael, parents Jack and Rosa Soape, daughter Karen, one brother and two sisters. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 30, 2014 at New Colony Baptist Church with Bro. David Hazelwood officiating. Burial to follow at New Colony Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Linden.. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday May 29, 2014 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
