Funeral services for Mrs. Minie Centers Roach will be held At Veal Switch Missionary Baptist Church, Thursday, 2:00 PM with Rev..Curt Beadle officiating under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday June 27, 2012. Minie Centers Roach, age 88 of Hughes Springs, TX., formerly of Eaton, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2012. Minie was born May 27, 1924 in Smithsboro, KY to Everett and Nan Pridemore Centers. One of 4 children, she attended Carr Creek High School. Minnie retired from Dayton Flexible Products, a Division of Baxter Laboratories, after 14 years of service. She was a member of Sugar Valley Methodist Church in Eaton, Ohio where she spent many enjoyable years in the choir. Minie enjoyed being a farm wife on their farm outside of Eaton, Ohio, and was a member of the Home Demonstration Club. Minie and her husband spent many enjoyable years fishing Lake Okechobee, Florida. In later years, they enjoyed a residence in Hughes Springs, TX, where she and her husband were active members of Veal Switch Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Roach was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Theda Burgett, Jeanette Cook, and Brother, Roland Centers. Minie is survived by husband, Herman Roach; four sons: Michael and wife Patsy(Ross) Roach of Eaton, Ohio, Stephen Roach and friend Vicki Gilliand of Longview, Texas, Larry Wayne Roach and wife Simone (Carmichael) Roach of Germantown, Ohio and Christopher Roach of Eaton, OH; five grandchildren: Troy Anthony Roach of Indianapolis, IN, Bradley Charles Roach Roach of Lancaster, Ohio, Kenneth Roach of Germantown, Ohio, and Michael McCormack of West Carrolton, Ohio; four great-grandchildren.

  2. Minie was one of those people whose smile warmed the heart. There was always a sparkle in her eye. Although I did not get to see her as often as I used to, I will miss her dreadfully.
