Services for Morris Montgomery, 65, of Dallas, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Avinger. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Montgomery was born March 19, 1953 and passed away December 19, 2018.

I am so sorry for your loss. In God’s word, the Holy Bible, we are told that all those in the graves will be resurrected back to life and that some of these will gain everlasting life. (John 5:28, 29) So, you could all see Morris again at the time of the resurrection. Morris and I became friends by officiating high school basketball games in the Dallas Basketball Officials Association in Dallas, TX. He was a great guy and a very good official. My sincere condolences to all of his family.
