Nazaree Hunter

Nazaree Naz Hunter, was born in Hope, Arkansas to the parentage of Furgus and Emma Lee Hunter, on October 3, 1929. He worked in the pulp wood industry for many years. Naz loved to fish, hunt and work in his garden.

Nazaree passed away July 7, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, and stepchildren, Faye Howard and Charles Isley.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his friend of forty years, Kathy Hopkins of Hughes Springs; four daughters: Sharon Hunter-Johnson of Wichita, KS, Tyesha (Frank) Aikens and Rhonda (Demetric) Dowell of Hughes Springs, Carolyn Hunter of California; three sons: Ronald Hunter and Donald Hunter of Wichita, KS, and Brady Hopkins Jr. of Raywood, TX; stepchildren: Rosemary Isley-Juniel and Ira Isley, grandchildren: Ralph Jeff Noble, Theresa Howard-Thompson, Kevin Howard, Fred Smith, James Juniel, Ronald Hunter Jr., Wayne Hunter, Ebonie Hunter, Earscell Hunter, Charletta Isley, Karita Isley, Jermaine Isley, Kim Isley-Pesto, Jamie Isley, Christina Isley, Stephanie Isley, Clifton Johnson and Katrella Johnson all of Wichita, KS, NyJayla Aikens, Shaquille Ransom, ShaTraven Ransom all of Hughes Springs, Mikayla Hopkins, Korey Hopkins, Kendrick Hopkins all of Nederland; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A service for Mr. Hunter will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Traylor High School Community Center.
