LINDEN TX Nora Lee Owens, 75, of Linden, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at a nursing center in Linden. She was born June 11, 1938, in Atlanta, Texas to James and Eunice Wilcox. Mrs. Owens was retired from the Cass County District Clerks office and Cass County Health Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Owens and a step-son, Jerry Owens. Survivors include two sons, Kerry Gholson and James Gholson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandy and Wayne Glover and Mona Anzualda; a step-son John Owens and wife, Chelsea; two step daughters and their spouses, Ann and Larry Ferrell and Judy and Loy Dale Grubbs; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Wilcox and James Wilcox; three sisters, Dorothy Armstreet, Eunice Perry and Inez Hillman; and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved her. Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Linden United Methodist Church with Bro. Bryan Peck and Pastor James McMillan officiating. Interment will follow in Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
