Funeral services for Patsy J. Lewis, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Mt. Mitchell Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Reynolds Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Friday evening at the funeral home. Patsy J. Lewis, was born March 12, 1935 and passed away August 17, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Eddie White; seven sisters; and eight brothers. Survivors include her husband, Monzell Lewis, of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Natasha White and Yolanda Lewis, both of Daingerfield; two sons, Rodney Lewis and wife Sharon, of Mansfield, Tx, and Curtis Lewis and wife Lesia, of Daingerfield; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Baker, L. V. Searcy, and E. H. Searcy; and two sisters, Frances Jordan-Rakestraw, and Julie Gnagne.

I would like to express condolences to my classmate, Yolanda, and her sister, Natash, as well as the entire Lewis family. I remember Mrs. Lewis as such a beautiful woman with a beautiful family. Death is ever present, and there is no escape from it. I encourage the family to be strong in the Lord and allow His Holy Spirit to keep you. Be blessed and encouraged. Your mother has gained, for she is now in the presence of our Lord.
