Services for Pattie Jo Denn, 89, of Hughes Springs, will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Salem Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
Ms. Denn was born February 24, 1929 to Auburn Edward and Lela Lucille Taylor, and passed away January 9, 2019. Pattie and Malcolm met on a blind date and married on April 4, 1947. They spent 47 years together in Beaumont, TX and Hughes Springs, TX. When Malcolm started working overseas, they lived in Edinburgh, Scotland and traveled through Europe and the Middle East together. When he retired, they retired to Atlanta, TX. When Malcolm passed away, Pattie moved back to Hughes Springs to be with her daughter and grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband of 48 years, Malcolm Denn; and parents, Auburn and Lela Taylor.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Denn Biddy of Hughes Springs; two grandchildren, Shelli Fickling and husband Billy of Hughes Springs, Jonathan Biddy and wife Melinda of Lone Star; six great-grandchildren, BJ Fickling, Shelbie Fickling, Mallory Biddy, Logan Fickling, Macy Biddy, and Beau Biddy; special cousin, Tommy Cash and wife Sharon of Bloomberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
