Funeral services for Mr. Rance Carver, 59, of Daingerfield, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  There will be a time of visitation with family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rance was born on June 30, 1966, in Houston, Texas, to Barney and Peggy Carver. He passed away peacefully at home in Daingerfield on Monday, August 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Rance was the cornerstone of his family, the calm leader, the tireless provider, and the joyful host of cherished holiday gatherings. Known for his wit and warmth, he had a remarkable sense of humor that could light up any room. His loved ones fondly remember his commitment to family, the countless sacrifices he made to shield them from life’s burdens, and the joy he took in every moment spent together.

To his grandchildren, he was lovingly known as “Pop” or “Poppy”, a role he embraced with all his heart. Whether he was donning costumes as “Jurassic Pop,” “Incredible Pop,” or “King Pop” for birthday parties, or quietly guiding his family through life’s challenges, Rance did everything with love, humility, and humor.

He was a man who led with action, loved without condition, and lived fully for those he held dear.

Rance was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Peggy Carver. He is survived by his beloved wife, Violet; children: Bennie Lee (Mackenzie), Joseph Lee, Shay Stewart (Joseph), and Dylan Freeman (Bailey); brothers: Rodney Carver (Lisa) and Phillip Carver; thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rance’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and strength. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
