Rene Gay "Nanny" Young

Rene Gay Young, 68, of Longview, TX passed away September 11, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Young was born April 12, 1950 in Dallas, TX to Loyal E. Works and Emma L. Crouch Works.
She is survived by two sons, Jessie Pepper and Edward Pepper; six grandchildren, Kura McKinley, Crystal Boyd, Trent Boyd, Jeremiah Pepper, Hannah Eggens, Shelby Pepper; sister, Judy Cato of Linden, TX.; two brothers, James and Sally Works of Jefferson, TX., Robby and Mary Works of Longview, TX. and her loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommy Young; sister, Frieda Joyce Dennis and nephew, Carl Cato.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2018 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden with Cindy Pepper officiating. Burial to follow at Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

I am sorry for your loss. Jesus said at John 11:25; ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.’ We have this comforting hope because Psalm 37: 29 and Isaiah 65:21-22 helps us see that there will be a restored earth. 1 Corinthians 15:12-16 tells us that to question the resurrection of loved ones equates to denying the resurrection of Jesus.
