Robert Earl Wellborn

Funeral services for Robert Earl Bob Wellborn, 66, of Carthage, will be held at 3 P.M. Friday, April 9 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Chapel in Hughes Springs with Carey Ponder officiating. Burial will follow in Cornett Cemetery. Mr. Wellborn will lie in honor Thursday afternoon and evening at the funeral home, and the family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Mr. Wellborn died Tuesday at his residence in Carthage. He was born September 25, 1943 in Cass County. He enjoyed roping and rodeoing, loved horses and cows, and worked on and managed a ranch and also was a construction worker. He is survived by three daughters T.J. Wellborn and Scamper Wellborn, both of Bowie County and McKenzie Wellborn of Carthage; four sons and four daughters-in-law Robby and Christina Wellborn of Lovelady, Lee and Tammy Wellborn of Atlanta, Tommyand Tracie Wellborn of Pleasant Grove, and Curtis and Natalie Wellborn of Liberty Eylau; one sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Jerry McKinney of Hughes Springs; one brother George (Wayne) Wellborn of Tatum and 13 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three sons Bobby, Corey and Benjamin Wellborn.
