Robert Lee Derrick

Robert Lee Derrick, 82, of Linden passed away August 13, 2020. Mr. Derrick was born September 28, 1937 in Marion County to Maxie and John Thomas Mott. Robert served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bobbie Derrick; daughter, Kim McKnight and husband Joe; son, John Derrick and wife Jonan; grandchildren, Wendy Shelton, Russell McKnight (Kim), Joni Shaffer (Johnny), Johna Gresham (Trey), John Derrick II (Audrey); great-grandchildren, Peyton Turner, Trenton McKnight, Presley Turner, Lila McKnight, Heath Shelton, Connor Rope Gresham, Ginger Reese Derrick, Cooper Anthony Shaffer, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maxie and John Thomas Mott; three sisters, LaNell Green, Hughmalean Harp, Pam Jones and one brother-in-law, Thomas Cloninger.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Pinecrest Baptist Church with Bro. Bryan Baggett officiating. Burial to follow in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Saturday evening at the funeral home.
