Robert "R J" Johnson

Funeral services for Mr. Robert Jackson R.J. Johnson, 82, of Naples, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 5 until 7 Friday evening at the funeral home. R.J. was born September 20, 1931 in Omaha, Texas to Narcissie Mitchell and Robert Mickens. He passed from this earth on April 9, 2014. He married Arvella Johnson and to this union seven children were born: Shirley Johnson of Omaha, Debra Hernandez of Fort Worth, Sylvia Favors (James Paul) of Tulsa, Robert Johnson Jr. of Omaha, Curtis Ray Johnson of Houston, Kim Bailey Johnson (Ellisa) of Chicago Illinois, and Michelle Nickelberry of Omaha. He later married Wilma King Johnson. R.J. began work at a young age at the Tucker Station in Omaha. He worked in construction in Dallas then later on at T&N in Lone Star for numerous years until his retirement. R.J. joined Antioch Baptist Church and served gracefully and faithfully as a deacon until his death.
