Robert "Rab" Wallace

October 13, 1934 ~ March 31, 2017
Mr. Wallace was born October 13, 1934 in Hughes Springs to Jim and Daisy Wallace. He passed away March 31, 2017. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a very active member of Hughes Springs First Baptist Church and their Hot Rod Ministry. He was an excellent and loving father and husband. He had one of the prettiest gardens in East Texas. Rab was a hard working man and continued until his last months.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Polly Wallace; sister, Judy Gibson; brothers, Charles Wallace and Wesley Wallace; and grandson, Daymon Aaron.
Rab is survived by wife, Linda Wallace; children, Mike Wallace and wife Doris, Ricky Wallace and wife Melissa , Calvin Wallace and wife Cissie, Bruce Wallace and wife Brooke, Patty Fraze, Jay Fraze and wife Renee; grandchildren, Michelle Heflin and husband Joel, Laci McRee and husband Joe, Amy Jo Strawbridge and husband Zack, Royce Wallace, Glen Wallace, Tim Wallace, Mallory Wallace, Carson Wallace, Perry W. Aaron, Reagan Fraze, Garrin Fraze, Evan Fraze; great-grandchildren, Brayden McRee, Abigail McRee, Ireland Heflin, Sydney Strawbridge, Audree Strawbridge, Mikal Lucas; sisters-in-law, Mary Wallace and Patsy Spencer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was a dear and precious man. He even let me call him Pawpaw! He will be greatly missed.

My childhood is full of memories of Uncle Rab. His laugh, sense of humor, booming voice, devotion to his family, and his big heart made such a huge impact on me. My ?? is sad for my cousins and families. At the same time, it is amazing knowing he is with his first wife, laughing and loving. Prayers n love to all.
Rabb will always remain in my mind as a faithful servant of Christ and sweet friend. He always was willing to give a hug or ask how you were doing. He will be missed but we will see him again.
Rab will certainly be missed by a lot of people. I pray that you all find peace in knowing that he is at home with our Lord and savior.
