Ronald DuMont

April 13, 1948 ~ April 7, 2022
On April 7, 2022, Ronald Colan DuMont passed away after a lengthy illness and battle with COVID. Ronald was born in Longview, Washington in April 1948 and lead a truly amazing life. Ronald was part of the Armed Forces, having served in the Air Force and Air Force Reserve for most of his career and had reached for the stars when he was promoted to the rank of Chief Master Sargent. He dedicated his time as the 10th Air Force Reserve Ground Safety Superintendent overseeing people’s safety while protecting our nations citizens. During his time with the reserves and predating the end of his career, he had exciting opportunities for which his family admired him, such as, being a part of the Barksdale AFB Fire Department and driving some of the largest fire trucks in the world. He was/is an inspiration and role model to his children. In childhood growing up he surfed the waves of Hawaii while his father was stationed there during his high school years. Ronald was kind, loving and generous to all that knew him. His beliefs of faith, right and wrong, and cherishing precious time with loved ones were embedded into Ronald’s very fabric of life. He loved to fish, bowl, do carriage rides with his draft horses (younger Ronald), and loved his wife of 50 years, Vickie DuMont.
Ronald was survived by his wife Vickie; three children, Cinnamon, Jason and Ryan (Twin A & B); brother, Hugh; sister, Lynda; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
You will truly be missed!
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
