Rosemary Welch Borden

Rosemary Borden, 90, of Avinger, Texas passed away April 7, 2021. Mrs. Borden was born November 6, 1930 in Cass County, Texas to Dick Welch and Vera Truitt Welch. Rosemary grew up in Avinger and later moved to Ft. Worth where she taught cosmetology for 20 years. After retiring from the Birdville ISD, she and Ted moved back to Avinger. Then they later made their home in Tyler at an assisted living facility. Rosemary was an amazing grandmother and she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
She is survived by her children, Frank Stanley and wife, Diane Borden, Susan Gayle and husband, David Smith; grandchildren, Dustin Borden and wife, Brittany, Whitney Magouyrk and husband, Ben, Clinton Borden and wife, Shannon; great-grandchildren, Eastin and Briggs Borden, Gage and Mason Magouyrk; one brother, Purvis "Bubba" Welch and one sister, Sammie Welch Nelson.
She is preceded in death by her parent, Dick and Vera Welch; husband, Ted S. Borden; six sisters and two brothers.
Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 12, 2021 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Les Colley officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
There will be a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
