Burial will follow at Rivers cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, of Hughes Springs. Mrs. Williams will lie in state at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday. Ruby Lee Williams was born on May 25, 1931 to the parentage of Cleveland and Ida Clara (Emery) Franklin, in Omaha, Texas. She enjoyed going to church and doing what she could until her health got bad. She loved the Lord; talking to Him often praising and glorifying Him. When she was growing up, she worked a lot; went to Mt. Moriah School, but only completed the sixth grade. She was united in marriage to George A. Williams in October, 1950. She was a good wife, great mother, an outstanding grandmother and a friend. Mother Booty was so many things to so many people. She loved her family passionately, but not only that, she would do anything she could for anybody. If you were down and out all she had to do was say something uplifting and it would just bring you back up. She was a dear friend, just an over all beautiful person. She loved to quilt and can fruits and vegetables; then turn right around and give them out to family and friends. I am thankful to God she had friends whom she talked to often: Lorena Hayes, Hattie Carter, Merlene Hodge, Alma Young, Mary Williams, Charlie Mae Everett, Aunt Meryl and Uncle Joe Earl, Aunt Pearlie Mae, and Aunt Claude Lee Williams and Dossie Byrson, now deceased. Preceding her in death are her parents, Cleveland and Ida Franklin, of Omaha; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Annie Mae Williams, of Omaha; five brothers, Carl Lawrence, James Curtis, Cleveland, Jr., Marshall, and Clarence; one sister, Claudie Lee; five nephews; one niece; one stepson, Alton; four grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, George A. Williams; children, Mary Williams, Betty Lewis (Darryl), Vivian Cook Woodard (Kelly), Melvalon Williams, all of Omaha, James (Michele), of Pittsburg, Eddie (Marnita), of Naples, and Ruby J. (Robert) Stoker, of Daingerfield, ZsaZsa, of White Oak, and Elliot Wilkerson; four brothers, Bobby Joe Franklin, of Mangham, Oklahoma, Joe (Meryk) Franklin, of Paris, Larry Franklin, of Ft. Worth, and Joe Evans Franklin, of Omaha; four sisters, Joyce (AD), of Omaha, Vivian Barber, of Omaha, Letha Patl, of Dallas, and Hazel (Eugene) Smith, of Midland; two aunts, Bennie Everett, of Omaha, and Palestine, of California; 30 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
