  1. Russ you were one of a kind and will leave a void in many hearts. We will miss you more than you could imagine. Jean we love you!

  2. Mrs. Jean and family,

I certainly cherish the short time we worked together on the blues festival. Although the time was short, Russell made a big impression on me. Good memories I will carry forever.
May God's peace comfort and strengthen you in the coming days.

  3. My dearest brother, I am so thankful that I got here in time to be with you for several hours before you departed for Heaven. You were a very special man, interested in so many things, and you always maintained the highest ideals and morals. You are a shining example to your family. Love you always, Juanita

  4. I will miss those long conversations about Hawaii and your friendship with Jim. Rest In Peace my friend. Praying for the family’

  5. Dear Jean: Please accept my heartfelt sympathy in the passing of this wonderful Southern gentleman . It was a true honor to meet and work with him on the Blues Festival here. It was equally an honor to meet you during that time too. I will miss his interesting and timely texts. May the happy times ya’ll shared bring comfort to you and your family at this time. God Bless you. Love, Natalie Rabicoff

  6. What a great loss for our little town. Russ helped put Linden on the map with all his fabulous, tireless work for LEDC. He will be sorely missed. God bless Jean and family. Love, Don and Mary Dowd

  7. We will miss you so much, buddy. Your help with the TMAs, the Barn, and so many other projects made this community a better place to live. Up up and away. Godspeed.

  8. When we moved to Linden in 2005, Russ was one of the first people to reach out and welcome us. He dove right in & immersed himself in our annual Texas Music Awards show that used to be in Houston’and helped us produce the show here’proving it could be done. Intelligent, funny, and in love with Linden’and more in love with his Jean. What an immense loss to us all. Knowing Russ, I believe he’s already organizing Heaven and planning events. Love you Russ. Xoxo

  9. We were blessed to have shared food, music, good company and good times. Driving from Longview to Linden after a stressful day and being greeted by Russel and his crew and you knew things would be alright. I will miss you my friend.

  10. Russ was a great guy and a pleasure to be around and I'm glad I got to know him a little.

He was an asset to our area communities and a "Doer"…he got things done!

God bless you Miss Jean through this season, we will see him again!

    -Stuart
