Russell Ralph Goetsch

September 10, 1941 ~ June 8, 2019
Russell Ralph Goetsch was born at home on the family farm in Fremont, Wisconsin on September 10, 1941. He was called home by his Savior
on June 8, 2019. After graduating high school, Russ moved to California to make it big in the movies, but instead met and married his wife
of 57 Years, Janet Black. He worked as a carpenter for Plant Brothers and The Gap for 20 years and then decided to retire and moved to
Texas. After settling in Russ went to work at the Monticello Power Plant, and after numerous years, opted for early retirement. To keep
himself busy, Russ picked up a hobby running the Blue Lagoon food concession trailer with his wife Jan, in Canton Texas until 2001.
Russ and Jan loved the farm in Gilmer, driving his "pony" (Polaris) all around the fields, feeding the fish in the pond, counting cows, and
cursing the wild hogs.
He will be missed by his three children, Bridgette Hardin and husband, Rick, Brett Goetsch, Barry Goetsch and wife, Sandra; grandchildren,
Jace Hardin, J.T. Hardin, Jordan Goetsch, Kali Goetsch, Wesley Goetsch, Russel Don Goetsch, Sabrina Goetsch; brothers Fred Goetsch
and wife, Darlene, Daniel Goetsch; sister, Sharon Lankford-Wohlt and husband, Jack; sister-in-law Sharon Goetsch; and numerous other
family and friends.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs. In lieu of flowers,
please make a donation to Alzheimer's Research or a charity of your choice.
Reunited!!
I am so sorry for your loss. I have prayed to God, Jehovah, to help you through this hard time. We are told in Acts 24:15 in the Bible, that there will be a resurrection of the dead. So there is a chance that you can see Ralph again, alive and well. In Psalm 37:10, 11 we can see that all wickedness and evil will be removed from the earth and then people will live here in peace. Verse 29 says they will live forever on the earth. Jesus taught us to pray for this when we ask that God's will be done on earth as in heaven. So, it will happen. There is much more about this at http://www.jw.org. Steve
I am sorry for your loss. Mr. Goetsch rests in peace until the resurrection (Acts 15:24) and the promised removal of the causes of unwanted tears ‘suffering, sorrow and death (Revelation 21:1, 4). Family and friends rely on the hearer of prayer for comfort and peace until then.
Such a sweet man, so sad to hear of his passing.
I rejoice with you all that Russ is now with Jesus and loved ones. There are so many wonderful memories of he and Jan. They were some of my favorite people. Of course we all were foodies and eating good food on the farm is what life is all about. I'm so happy that I got a copy of your family cookbook all those years ago. Thanks Bridgette. You three may remember me as Jolene Turner, attended church at 1st Methodist back in the 80s and 90s. I now live in Hughes Springs and hope to make it to the services.
May God bless your hurting hearts.
