Samuel Perry
June 6, 1948 ~ August 16, 2019
Samuel Thomas Perry was born June 6, 1948 in Frederick, Oklahoma and passed away August 16, 2019. Samuel was a Marine Corps veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter by trade and a resident of Avinger, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Perry; parents, William Bryson Perry and Willene Walker Perry.
Samuel is survived by three children, David Perry and wife Teri, Catherine Perry, Andrew Perry and wife Imelda; grandchildren, Cooper Perry, Arenia Jo Perry, Ryan Perry, Alexander Perry, Colby Williams; brothers, Wayne Perry, Lawrence Perry, Lee Perry; sisters, Darlene Roberts, Anna Pannell, and Dana Cooksey.
Arrangements are under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Simmons Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to attend.

Sam was a loving person, through and through. Having risen from a life where you had to be a self starter, ambitious, self motivated and tough. Sam and is brothers and sisters were an inspiration to all that knew them.
Sam was a die hard Marine and his word was his bond, Sempi Fidelis was is creed and is warrior battle cry both at work and play.
Sam was always had a great story to tell at our family gatherings and could hold his own playing 42
I think the good Lord must have needed a good partner in dominoes and so he picked the best man for the job
Sam I’ll miss seeing you and listening to your laugh.
