Services for Shirley Ann Steed, 76 of Daingerfield, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday January 24, 2014 at the Lakeview Baptist Encampment in Lone Star with Reverend Gib Allen officiating. Arrangements by Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Steed passed away January 22, 2014 in Hughes Springs. She was born on October 28, 1937 in Bisbee, Arizona to Otis Franklin and Violet Russell Tallant. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Richard Elzie Gunn, and Gene E. Steed. She is survived by one son, Richard Elzie Gunn, Jr. of Pittsburg and three daughters, Melody Ann Vines of Daingerfield; Tamie Allen of Houston; and Teresa Lane Jenkins of Pittsburg; and Tommy Lyster.

Dear Ricky, Melody, Tammy and Teresa, I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet mother! I remember growing up I couldn't wait to get to Daingerfield so I could stay at your house! Aunt Shirley was always so good to me and made me feel at home. Hugs to your heavy hearts! I wish I could be there. I am so sorry.
