Simeon Douglas Robertson, II, “Bubba”, passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on February 6, 1964, in Houston, Texas, Bubba lived life with a free spirit and a restless soul. He never stayed in one place too long, and while he had a brilliant mind, he chose a life unbound by convention or commitment.

Bubba spent many years on the road as a truck driver, a job that suited his love for movement and independence. As his health declined, he took on a variety of odd jobs, always finding ways to get by with modest means. No matter where he was or what he was doing, Bubba was known for his giving heart. He needed little for himself and was always quick to share what he had.

He was preceded in death by his father, Simeon Douglas Robertson, Sr. and wife, Wanda (Kitty) Robertson; his mother, Marjorie Tomek; as well as his nephew, Caleb Hall.

He is survived by his children, Vanessa Sanders, Simeon Douglas Robertson, III, and Sahara Saylor; his granddaughter, Brianna Buckley; siblings and their spouses, Elizabeth Pearl and Alan Hall, Michael and Amy Robertson, Cindy and Alan Fincher, Amy Elaine Robertson, Christy and Grady Story, Michael Morris, and Marlin and Angela Sparks; his longtime girlfriend, Binaca Perez; and a host of step-siblings and extended family who will remember him with love.

A private burial will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Candle 3I remember going to school with Doug at Linden-Kildare High School. He was a very kind soul and friend. He was eager to assist with any task ask of him. Rest in Peace. ✝️🕊️

  2. Candle 2I remember Doug from when we was in school at Linden Kildare. He was a real good friend and fun to be around may God bless his family in this hour of need

  3. Candle 1Simi, was very special to me. From us going on our random drives to Schlotzsky’s, or Olive Garden. He would complain because I’d pick the same places but always gave in to where I picked. We would joke around and I would be a passenger driver. At times when he got a little bit more fragile I would worry if he would be able to drive but he never disappointed me. He always got us to our destination in one piece. He loved being on the road. I never understood it until I spoke with his sister Beth. But those are where are most wonderful memories are. In random trips or out to eat lunches. He loved me and I loved him, and that’s all that matters. I’m happy that his picture is one of those days. I miss him so,so, much.
We don’t stop loving. We don’t forget. We don’t get over it. So, we journey forward… Doing the best we can. We hold them in our 💔hearts Until we’re together again. I Love You So Much Hunny! ❤️Love Always, Bianca 🌷
