Steven L. Detro

Steven L. Detro, 56, of Linden passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in Atlanta, Texas. Steven was born July 23, 1966 in Pasadena, Texas to Charles and Gayle Detro. He graduated from Linden Kildare high school. He studied X-ray Technology in Texarkana and was currently employed at Pegues Hurst Ford in Longview. Steven was a very generous, loving man. If he knew you needed something, he never hesitated to share whatever he had. He was baptized into Christ at Alpine Church of Christ in Longview, Texas. He loved his mother and his sweet dog, Annabelle, with all his heart.
Steven leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted mother, Gayle Riddle; loving brother, Shannon Detro and wife Melanie; sisters, Lori Riddle Whatley, Jancy Detro, and Jodie Steele; several aunts and an uncle; numerous cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Lucile Detro, W.M. and Rose Trumble; fathers, Robert Riddle and Charles Detro.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Friday and last until services begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2022 at the Reeder Davis Chapel in Linden. Burial will follow at Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

My heart is broken as I have just learned of Steven's passing. He was a friend that was always more than willing to help. He often spoke of his sweet mother and his love of music. I know he is in heaven and with Jesus. No more pain or suffering. Prayers for his mama and family as they are walking through this heartache.
