Services for Stevie Chaney, 36, of Ore City, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at First United Methodist Church. Burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Mr. Chaney will lie in state from 12:00 until 5:00 Friday afternoon at the funeral home.

Stevie LaDaron Chaney was born 25 December 1985 to the union of Twana Till Owens and Stevie Lee Chaney in Dallas, Texas.

Stevie attended various school systems in the United States and overseas. He graduated from Ballard University in Murray, Kentucky and Itawamba Community College in Tupelo, Mississippi playing football. His greatest passion was making music, raising pit bulldogs and being the entertainment.

Stevie departed this life Thursday, 3 February 2022 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. He will reunite with maternal grandfather Jimmy Lee Anderson; paternal grandparents Kathryn Holmes and Eugene Chaney; maternal great-grandfather Amos Owens; aunt Annie Owens and uncles Claude Matthews, Gene Owens and Cleo Anderson.

His beautiful life will be cherished in the lives of his parents Tewana Owens (Nicolas) Ore City, Texas and Stevie Chaney Fort Worth, Texas; sister Tambria T. Prichett, North Richland Hills, Texas; and brother, Brain Ayers, Louisville, Kentucky; step-sisters, Tenisha and Imani Chaney, Dallas, Texas; nephews, Tavarius and Jordan Pritchett, North Richland Hills, Texas, Bron and Brian Ayers, Louisville, Kentucky; nieces, Jamiya Coleman and Myla Ayers, Louisville, Kentucky; grandmother, Nellie Owens, Ore City, Texas; uncles, Perry Espie (Claudia), Desoto, Texas, Jimmy Owens (Winderlyn), Tyler, Texas, Chester Holmes (Wanda), Fort Worth, Texas; aunts, Sara Hollins, Pittsburgh, Texas, Gloria Matthews, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Alisia Brewer (Bryan), Bradenton, Florida, Pamela Baker (Gary), Fort Worth, Teas; best cousin, Jermy Owens, Tyler, Texas; best friend, Ronnie Gray, Jr., Portland, Oregon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
