Sue Ann McDonald Shelton, 76, of Hughes Springs, was born in Atlanta, Texas to John Earl and Beaula Mae Colley McDonald. She passed away peacefully December 10, 2022 surrounded by her family. Sue Ann was a loving mother and Nanaw. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Hughes Springs and Earl Jackson Sunday school class.
Sue Ann was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Earlene Cox and husband Floyd; brothers-in-law, Chappy Shelton and wife Eugena, Roy Dupree, Jimmy Shelton.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jackie Shelton; children: Misti Wickersham and husband David, Tammi Shelton, Marci Reeves and husband Butch; grandchildren, Samantha Weeks, Darren Weeks, Charlie Mae Moore and husband Dyllan, Jessie Sue Reeves; brother-in-law, Timmy Shelton and wife Debbie; sisters-in-law, Jane Dupree and Bonnie Shelton; nieces and nephews: D.J. Quillen, Angie Nauman, Jackie Schlup, Teresa Brown, Lisa Quinn, Tina Woods, Randy Shelton, Sally Sheets, Craig Shelton, Bubba Shelton, Lucas Shelton, Kasi Fincher, Libby Schilling; and numerous great-nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services for Sue Ann will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Nanaw was the most beautiful, kind, and gentle soul I’ve ever met. She took me on as one of her grandchildren when I was growing up and I am forever thankful God put her in my life. I love you a million Nanaw. I can’t wait to see you again when I get to heaven. To see that beautiful smile.
Well I guess I can say she was my only aunt I had like my mother the strongest women of the world to me was the two of them you will be missed by me
