Services for Terry Glenn “Goober” Abernathy, 36, of Hughes Springs will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2006 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Rickey Vestal and Rev. Larry Neeley officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Abernathy died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at his residence. He was born January 30, 1970 in Lone Star, Texas. He was a service station attendant for many years and had worked for Texas and Northern Warehouse. He was a Baptist. Mr. Abernathy is survived by his mother, Carolyn Abernathy of Hughes Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, JP and Marla Abernathy of Jefferson; two sisters, Debbie Abernathy of Marshall and Penny Kaye Abernathy of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews. Viewing and visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening at the funeral home and the family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m.
