Timothy Joe Hobbs, Sr. was born March 9, 1959 in Hughes Springs, Texas, to P.G. and JoAnn Wheeler Hobbs. He passed away May 28, 2023.

Tim always enjoyed watching westerns, the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys play, gardening and being the BBQ Pit Master. He loved fishing, hunting, playing guitar and being with his family. Tim was a jokester, he always wanted to make someone laugh but serious when you needed him to be. He was proud, caring, trustworthy and would always have your back. Tim was a skilled carpenter and welder.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents P.G. and JoAnn Hobbs; and sister, Jeannie Hobbs.

He is survived by his children, Sarah Hobbs, and T.J. Hobbs and wife Whitney; granddaughter, Sami Kay Hobbs; siblings, Nina Hobbs, and Pam Tidmore and husband Tim; special friend, Tami Coreno; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Services for Tim will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial to follow at Avinger Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Avinger United Methodist Church.
