Trent Javan Sloan

Trent loved spending time with his family, fishing, cooking, taking care of his land and animals. Trent was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and an awesome "Papa". His grandchildren were his pride and joy and Trent truly loved his family.
In March 1997, Trent married his best friend and love of his life! They blended two families together, and to this union joined Trent and Kerra along with, Chuntney, Shalana and Michael. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents; one sister, Reeda; two brothers, Donnie and Randall; one nephew, Derrick; mother and father-in-law, Bobbie and Murphy Walker; one god-daughter, Ke'erra; adopted granddaughter, Ka'Mari.
On August 9, 2020 Trent departed this earthly life at his home in Linden, Texas at 1:57 a.m. Trent fought a good long fight with his family by his side. He had so much faith in God he trust, and he won this one! He leaves behind to cherish his memories his lovely wife, Kerra; three children, Shalana, Chuntney, Michael; five grandchildren, Sha'Kerra, Carey, Sha'Nia, Ky'Ren, Briceson; one great-granddaughter, Kins'lei which he was so excited about. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of Trent. I knew him as T-bone. We worked together for US Steel (Hipo). He was my inspector. We had many good days at work and had many good laughs together telling stories. I last spoke with him a year or so when he called to let me know a mutual friend from Linden had passed. Again sorry for your family's loss. I know he with our Lord and Savior now. May God's hand comfort the family in the coming days, weeks and future. God bless you all! Sherrell Cameron
Kerra & Family, may God comfort you as you cherish the many memories.

I can't thank God enough for blessing me with such a loving and encouraging uncle. My heart is hurting but I am reminded of the legacy that Uncle Trent has left here. I will always remember all of the encouraging words and prayers that he shared and will continue to live out my purpose.
