Funeral services for Truman Bradshaw,75, of Linden will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 13, 2014 at New Colony Baptist Church. Interment will follow at New Colony Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Linden. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday , September 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Truman was born June 7, 1939 and passed away September 9, 2014. He retired from the Texas Highway Department after 28 years of service and worked for Community Services of Northeast Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Geraldine Bradshaw of Linden; two daughters and son-in-laws, Tammie and Hart Townsend of Donaldson, Ar., Lynn and Keven Yawn of Linden; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sarah Bradshaw of Castroville, Tx.; two brothers and sister-in-law, Ernest and Jackie Bradshaw of Linden, David Bradshaw of Linden; sister, Mary Beauchamp of Linden; eleven grandchildren; Jessica Burns, Kelly Yawn, Shelly Yawn, Chris Rushing, Candace Rushing, Timmy Rushing, Haiden Wiley, Klaire Bradshaw, Elias Bradshaw, Jessica Townsend, Kim Tompkins; eight great-grandchildren; Anakin Burns, Scarlett Burns, Mila Cloutier, Chloe Cloutier, Aurora Sisco, Tucker Rushing, Ryko Tompkins, Kylin Tompkins; twelve nephews and nieces; numerous great nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by one son, Timmy Bradshaw; his parents, A.T. and Mary Ellen; two sisters, Bobby Mason and Sharon Cherry. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The New Colony Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Memory of Bro. TrumanI can remember going to Plesant Hope in my younger years back in the 1950s, and seeing Bro. Truman who was a young man, several years younger than me. He would come in Church and would always have his Bible in hand. I will always remember our phone calls discussing Scripture and our gardens. Rest in peace Bro. Truman

I am at lose for words. My heart goes out to each of the family during this time. Truman was truly a great man and will be missed, but at the same time, Heaven received a special blessing.
