LINDEN TX Una Mae Burrow, 89, of Linden, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 in Atlanta, Texas. She was born April 20, 1923 in Cass County, Texas to Benjamin Franklin Yancy and Emil Swinney Yancy. She was a homemaker and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Linden. She was also active as a volunteer at Linden Muncipal Hospital. She raised six wonderful children who survive her. They include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Bobby Burrow of Linden, H.T. and Gayle Burrow of Texarkana, Todd Burrow of Dallas, and Tim and Janet Burrow of Colleyville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Sonny Carney and Lou and David Walls, all of Atlanta; four sisters, Bennie Barker of Plano, Joyce Jeter of Magnolia, Texas, Shirley Lee of Rockwall, Theda Williford of Mesquite; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband H.T. Scoot Burrow; her parents; two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be at 3:30pm, Sunday March 3, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Linden, with Bro. Wes Chambers officiating. Interment will be in Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Dierkson Hospice in Texarkana, TX or First Baptist Church Linden.

  1. I was so very sorry to hear about Una Mae. I spent a lot of time at the "Burrow" house growing up and Una Mae was always so sweet and kind to me. I have many fond memories of her. Please know that all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
