Mr. Hill was born on August 4, 1940, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on February 9, 2026, in Pittsburg, Texas.
A proud and hardworking man, Mr. Hill was known for his skill as a certified welder, working on large oil rigs for Baker and Taylor with dedication and precision. He was also a certified mechanic and spent years behind the wheel as a commercial cattle truck driver, never afraid of long hours and honest work. In the evenings, he stayed just as busy, running the Wagon Wheel Drive-In Theatre and the walk-in Lyric Cinema, places that brought entertainment and community together. Later in life, he brought that same strong work ethic to his role as a farm manager for Pilgrim’s Pride, where he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. Mr. Hill enjoyed adventure and had the opportunity to fly a helicopter a few times, something he always thought was special.
More than anything, he was a loving father who cherished time spent with his children. He enjoyed camping, playing sports, and being involved in their lives, creating memories through the many activities they shared together. Those who knew him understood that behind his gruff charm was a man full of heart, humor, and wisdom.
Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mrs. Kaye Hill; sons, Eric Garrison and Mitchell Smith; daughters, Tracie Humphries and Theresa Tucker; grandson, Rodrick Johnson; great-grandsons, Johnathan Smith and Matthew Smith; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughters, Margaret Becker, Wendy Bennett (Kevin), Erica Garrison, Raven Garrison; sons, Danny Todd Hill (Karry), Norman Hill (Karla), Morgan Garrison, and Maddison Garrison; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers, Don Hill and Winfred Hill.
Mr. Hill’s life was marked by grit, generosity, and an undeniable spark that left an impression on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed.
